Floral Fusion
This two-bedroom downtown condominium showcases a sophisticated interplay of color, material, and texture. The design challenge was to reinterpret a red, white, and blue palette in a way that felt refined rather than patriotic. Soft periwinkle blue anchors the scheme, while navy and red appear as understated accents, creating a cohesive, inviting interior.
In the guest bedroom, playful wave headboards edged in red piping and a swivel glider outlined in navy add whimsy. Window coverings in both bedrooms are tailored to discreetly conceal motorized shades. Red, white, and blue are most prominent in the guest room, while the Great Room introduces the palette more subtly through pillows and ottomans. The primary suite eliminates red entirely, embracing soothing neutrals for a tranquil retreat.
The kitchen balances elegance and function through mixed finishes—oak drawer fronts, painted cabinetry, black appliances, and brass hardware complemented by stainless details. Hidden conveniences include charging drawers, spice and knife organizers, and built-in serving trays. Granite countertops on the island and pantry contrast with marble along the range wall for both beauty and practicality.
The clients brought a clear aesthetic vision and meaningful personal pieces—art collected during travel, an antique dining table, and a distinctive entry fixture—that lend authenticity and character to this polished downtown retreat.
