Fine Builders
Joel Reb
Owner & Principal
Joel is a fourth-generation builder who grew up on his father’s construction sites before earning a degree in construction management. Joel honed his technical skills in commercial construction before leading two high-end homebuilding firms in the Traverse City area. He brings a collaborative approach to every project, and when he isn’t helping families build their dream home you’ll find him out on the family boat or coaching his kids’ sports teams.
Jill Nuding
Head of Construction
This carpenter’s daughter will get your home built on-time and on-budget – and you will have fun doing it. Her fiscal acumen and project oversight have earned praise from global marketing powerhouse JD Power and Associates as “one of the top customer service providers we have seen in any industry.”
Doug Konoske
Project Manager
Doug loves seeing the joy on clients’ faces when they walk into their new home and see their vision realized. “We want to create an amazing customer service for our clients,” he says, “and as a family business we strive to make every project fun and memorable.”
Gunnar Gingrich
Project Manager
Gunnar is an Arizona native who spent summers at his family’s cottage on Clear Lake. Before joining our team, he earned a degree in Construction Management while working at commercial internships and residential building sites. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking at Boyne Highlands and jet-skiing on the Lake.
Emily McGeath
Office Manager
Emily keeps our construction team humming, supporting all administrative and project management functions. She also oversees our Cottage Concierge program with her high-touch approach to client service. Emily is the office go-to for operational best practices and product and system improvements. Her “I’m on it” attitude inspires us every day.
Rob Mossburg
Founder
After summering “Up North” as a boy, Rob returned in 2000 to build his dream home on Lake Michigan. Following a career of developing national hospitality brands, he founded Cottage Company on a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and community spirit — and has built some of the town’s most iconic homes.
