Rob Mossburg
A successful entrepreneur and admitted perfectionist, Rob leads The Cottage Company team with a meticulous eye for quality, extraordinary creativity, environmental sensitivity and a passion for genuine customer service. A third generation builder, Rob has worked as a management consultant for an international consulting firm, as executive vice president of finance and development for a national lodging chain and co-founded two successful lodging companies, most recently serving as President. Throughout his career, Rob’s family focus and civic and charitable contributions have defined his professional mantra. Fulfilling a life-long dream of living in Northern Michigan, he has created a company of technically talented and personally pleasant individuals who have earned a reputation for good citizenship, responsible land use and building cottages and communities of exceptional quality.
Bob Mossburg
Bob oversees the field construction activities of the company. He has been involved in the construction industry for more than 45 years and built his first home at age 20. His expertise spans all aspects of the building trades and he has personally worked as a mason, rough carpenter, roofer, plumber, electrician and finish carpenter. His supervisory experience includes the building of single family homes and commercial structures, including churches, hotels, condominiums and mixed-use projects. His preference, however, lies in the close customer interaction and detail-oriented approach to building fine custom homes.
Joanelle Mossburg
With 35 years experience in construction and real estate, “Josie” manages the back office, accounting, insurance and banking functions of the company. She is a former realtor and office manager for a large real estate group and has held positions in the banking and insurance sectors. She is also the model of genuine hospitality for the company and the name sake of the company’s Hotel Janelle project.
Vee Mossburg
An interior decorator with an eye for fresh design and color, Vee is responsible for the unique and often published look of The Cottage Company interiors. She has earned her master’s in business administration and assists with the company’s strategic business and marketing plans.
Jill Nuding
Jill is responsible for project management and customer service for the company, and is the primary contact for The Cottage Company clients. She assists customers in all aspects of the building process including the selection of finishes and decorating items for their homes. Jill is also a licensed real estate professional and a former award winning salesperson and general manager for a national hotel chain.
Greg Nuding
One of three licensed builders in The Cottage Company, Greg is a project manager and supervises field construction crews for the company. A finish carpenter extraordinaire, Greg first learned the woodworking craft from a Steinway piano maker. His penchant for detailed finishes and demands of subcontractor perfection are responsible for the high standards and quality reputation the
company enjoys.
Sarah Withey
Sarah is the personal assistant to Rob Mossburg and supports the team by professionally operating The Cottage Company headquarters. Sarah also oversees “Cottage Concierge,” a division of the company that provides a full range of home services to Cottage Company clientele. Sarah is also a licensed real estate professional and has worked in various aspects of the real estate and hospitality industries. Well known for her outgoing personality and genuine approach to meeting customers needs, Sarah’s pleasant demeanor and work ethic sets the stage for the entire Cottage Company experience.
